“The militarist strategy of conquest and occupation was designed to establish a long-term colonial military presence in the form of strategic military bases with a significant and sustained contingent of colonial military advisors and combat units. The brutal colonial occupation of an independent secular state with a strong nationalist history and an advanced infrastructure with a sophisticated military and police apparatus, extensive public services and wide-spread literacy naturally led to the growth of a wide array of militant and armed anti-occupation movements .” (08-21-2009) | |

NOAM CHOMSKY:
Even a brief look reveals a harrowing

DENIS HALLIDAY: Do not read this book. FRANCOIS HOUTART: In order to dominate a region, it is necessary to destroy any solid State. SAMIR AMIN: It is not about "collateral damage" or, as had dared to say Madeleine Albright, the "price to pay” for the establishing of democracy! MICHAEL PARENTI: This book is clearly written, historically grounded, deeply researched, and well substantiated. |
