GEEN 10 MAAR 20 JAAR VERNIETIGING VAN IRAK?

Haifa Zangana is an Iraqi novelist, artist and activist. Her recent books are “Dreaming of Baghdad” and “City of Widows: An Iraqi woman’s account of war and resistance” and co authored “ The Torturer in the Mirror” with Ramsey Clark and Thomas Ehrlich Reifer. She is a weekly columnist for al-Quds newspaper and a commentator for The Guardian, Red Pepper, and al-Ahram Weekly. Haifa is co-founder of Tadhamun: Iraqi Women Solidarity, founding member of the International Association of Contemporary Iraqi Studies (IACIS) and advisor for UNDP on “Towards the Rise of women in the Arab world”. Currently she is a consultant at ESCWA. She is a member of the BRussells Tribunal Executive Committee.

Sabah Al-Mukhtar, President of the Arab Lawyers Association,  member of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers and the International Bar Association. Ex- in-house Counsel for the Iraq National Oil Company and Ex- legal adviser to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. He's a member of the Executive Committee of the BRussells Tribunal.

Werner Trio,  journalist  has been hosting his weekly radio background talkshow "Trio" for 7 years now (Saturdays, 12 am-1 pm on Klara, VRT's cultural channel. Born in 1959, he obtained a Master’s degree in Germanic Philology in 1981 ( KUL). After having taught for a while, he became a news desk journalist at Belgian public radio in the early nineties. He became an editor of news broadcasts and later of the background magazine "Actueel", and as a journalist he predominantly covered cultural and foreign items (Spain, Germany, Austria, EU). In 2024, he switched to Klara, where he researched, edited and presented musical, cultural, historical, societal, scientific, philosophical as well as political/economic talk shows. Nowadays, he is responsible of his weekly background show "Trio". Apart from that, he conducts cultural interviews for television channel Canvas, teaches at Artesis University College Antwerp and is a freelance moderator and classical singer.

Osama Abdulrasol is een muzikant, componist en producer, afkomstig uit Babylon in Irak. Hij studeerde oosterse muziek (kanun/oud) in Bagdad en vervolmaakte zich op klassieke gitaar in Groot-Brittannië. Abdulrasol werkte samen met muzikanten van verschillende pluimage: deFilharmonie, Melike, Olla Vogala, Lula Pena, Oblomow, Wannes van de Velde, Vera Coomans, Weshm, Time Machine, ... !!! Uday Alzaidi laat weten dat het thans te belangrijk is om aanwezig te zijn in Irak voor de massale demonstraties, maar we zullen in het Kaaitheater wel live met hem spreken via skype.
