Underneath is a complaint from Dr Fouad Al Bayaty, a forced migrated academic who works in Malaysia currently, to the Minister of higher Education, about plagiarism and the republication of his already published research of 2024, by three other academics of the Dentistry Medical College of Al-Mustansiryah University. They copied and pasted Dr Fouad Al Bayaty 's published research word for word, because they know in advance that nobody will defend the original publisher of the paper. How degrading and unethical things can become in the Higher Education Sector in Iraq.

Dear Sirs,

My name is Prof. Dr. Fouad Hussein Al-Bayaty, currently working in a Malaysian University, Kindly be informed, that I had published a scientific paper in the Journal of the Faculty of Dentistry University of Baghdad Vol.: 14 in 2024.

The title of the research is:

•   Relationship between the severity of gingival inflammation and concentration of gingival fluid proteins

Unfortunately and coincidentally I found out, and was unpleasantly surprised to discover that three of the lecturers from the Department of Periodontology, Professor Dr.Khoolod Abdulhadi AL-Safi, Dr Alla Omran and Dr.Berzan AL-Atroshi, all three members of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, have stolen my research and removed my name and the co-researcher name and republished it again under their own names, in full and without any changes, in the Al-Mustansiriya Dental Journal(MDJ) Vol.: 8 No.: 3, 2024. They even used the same title: The relationship between the severity of gingival inflammation and the concentration of the gingival fluid proteins, as it is evident in the attachments.

Please be informed that my research still exists on the website of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Baghdad - Journal of the Faculty of Dentistry, Vol.: 14 (in 2024).

Through my review of their research, I found that the mentioned research, published under their names is totally identical to my research. They didn’t bother to make any changes. It is quite evident in the comparison between the attached files, as well as in my original research still available on the web page mentioned above.

Would these people deserve to be academic lecturers? Are they eligible to teach and supervise students and head the future scientific research in Iraq. They have stolen the scientific efforts of others, taking the advantage of their absence from Iraq.

Kindly take the necessary actions and hold them accountable for their behaviour.

Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation and I hope that God will help me retrieve my rights of my scientific efforts.
